Pat's second CD, Heartbeat: Songs of Love, Hope and Renewal was released in 2004 and was financed by the Ontario Arts Council and by many wonderful friends who sponsored songs. This was a great gift that enabled this collection, also of 14 original songs, to make its way into the world. Heartbeat includes:

  • "Out of this Brokenness" and "Onto Holy Ground" - songs about walking together as community in or after times of chaos or brokenness
  • "Walk to the Mountains" - about violence against women, and the reclaiming of a community of hope
  • "Lyre Farm" - from the perspective of a man, about the simplicity of living in nature and in loving relationship
  • "From the Top of a Hill"" - a justice song written with guidance from a friend from the Cree Nation about the experience of our native people in the context of relationship with the land
  • "Candle Burning" - about the spark of the divine in each of us
  • "Heartbeat" - a love song
  • "Into the Sacred" and "Conversation" - songs about healing and wholeness

"Pat Mayberry is a singer songwriter with a gift for melody, harmony, and music which touches the listener deeply. Her songs have been inspired by her own personal and spiritual journey, and weave together the themes of relationship and community, nature, justice, and healing. Pat’s music is especially suitable for use at retreats, special services and worship gatherings and can also be used for congregational singing or listening. Pat has released four CDs, Voice to Voice, Heartbeat: Songs of Love Hope and Renewal, Peace is Like a Picture: Kids’ Songs for Choirs and Congregations and Labyrinth: Songs for the Journey. Pat's music is also featured in More Voices in such songs as ""I Can Feel You Near Me God (#48), ""I Saw the Rich Ones"" (#127), ""Called by Earth and Sky"" (#135), and ""Long Ago and Far Away"" (#195). Her music has been/is featured in both the Seasons of the Spirit and Bible Quest curriculums, and she has four songs/hymns in the More Voices hymnbook including ""Called by Earth and Sky."" "
