Based on survey findings conducted throughout the U.S. on historically black communities of faith, this practical resource examines four key building blocks of black congregational vitality: spiritual connection, inside connection, outside connection, and identity connection. Religious organizations included in the study: African Methodist Episcopal, Church of God in Christ, Baptist, The United Church of Christ, The United Methodist Church, The Roman Catholic Church, and Islam.
